Signed the MoU with Govt. of Rajasthan to set up a 1 GW Renewable Energy Power plant

We have set the ambitious goal of "Net Zero" in Scope 1&2 emissions by the year 2040 and steering this voyage to help curb global warming, in line with the national climate commitments. We are expanding our renewables portfolio, and have plans to reach 1 GW of renewables by 2025 and 10 GW by 2040.
As a major step towards the production of green energy in the state, Shri Bhaskar A. Sawant, I.A.S., Principal Secretary, Dept. of Energy, Government of Rajasthan and Shri Shelly Abraham, Head Renewable Energy, BPCL, signed the Memorandum of Understanding to set up a 1 GW Renewable Energy Power plant.
The MoU signing ceremony was presided over by Shri Ashok Gehlot, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Shakuntala Rawat, Hon’ble Minister of Industries and Shri Bhanwar Singh Bhati and Hon’ble State Energy Minister (Independent Charge Energy) amongst other Government officials.
