Due to its lowest Aromatic and Sulphur contents, Solvent D80 is an ideal product for niche applications.
Application
Solvent D80 is used typically in metal working industries (Bearing, Auto Ancillary industries etc.), Paint industries, house-hold liquid vaporizer for mosquito repellents, ink cleansing, rust preventive products, Resins & polishing etc. wherein de aromatised solvents are being used as a solvent media.
Salient features
SBP Solvent consists of volatile fraction derived from petroleum and is composed essentially of paraffinic, naphthenic and aromatic hydrocarbons in varying proportions. It falls under Class A category of petroleum products.
USPs: as per latest specifications
PESO class: A - class
MTO, is also known by various names like spirit, White spirit and Turpentine. MTO’s Solvent power is used to dissolve resins, rubber, and bitumen and also to reduce the viscosity of the solutions produced.
BPC MTO meets the specific requirements of M/s Asian paints, M/s Berger paints etc.
This product is available from BPCL refineries and other storage depots.
BPCL supplies two grades e.g. MTO and MTO regular
USPs: as per customer’s specific requirement. India’s largest paint manufacturers consumes mainly our product.
PESO class: B - class
M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited are pioneers in manufacturing and marketing of Hexane for edible and essential oil extraction units all over the country. With the commissioning of the state of the art Isomerization unit at Mumbai Refinery, BPCL is proud to showcase a “World Class Product” - Hexane, which far exceeds the requirements of Food Grade Hexane. The NHT / ISOM unit at Mumbai Refinery is licensed from M/s GTC Technology, USA.
Hexane is used as a Solvent in the extraction of Edible /vegetable oils such as Cottonseed, Groundnut, Mustard, Rapeseed, Sesame, Linseed, Rice Bran, Soybean, Sunflower etc. BPCL’s Food Grade Hexane is also used for manufacture of most delicate perfumes and solvent based adhesives, sealing etc.

Hexane Pharma is used both as a solvent & a carrier in the manufacture of API Bulk drugs and Pharma Intermediates. Some of the pharma input material which are unstable as such, is kept in a mixture along with Hexane during transportation /storage before its usage.
